Skövde Vandrarhem has the best of both worlds: countryside and city life nearby. The hostel, which has nicely decorated rooms, is next to the University of Skövde and only a few minutes' walking distance from the travel centre.
The hostel close to everything
Skövde hostel has a unique location near to the city's restaurants, shops, cinema, university and travel centre.
The rooms have a pleasant, calm atmosphere and they can accommodate up to 6 people each. The hostel has 8 rooms in the charming villa and more in the annexe next door. The villa has been carefully renovated to keep its clean style and rustic feel, with lofty ceilings and high skirting boards. Read all about the history of the house here!
Cosy, well-appointed rooms
The main building has 22 beds in 8 rooms, each with a shower and toilet. The annexe offers 10 beds/bunk beds in five double bedrooms, all with a shower and toilet. The thick mattresses are very comfortable and the high windows make the rooms wonderfully bright. Shared TV room and kitchen with hob/oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee maker and kettle. Free parking next to the buildings and only a few minutes away from the travel centre with its train and bus terminal.
Activities for the whole family
There are nice walks nearby as well as the beautiful Boulogner forest. Swimmers will appreciate the lake within walking distance and a very popular water park.
You will find several of West Sweden's biggest attractions in the surrounding area: Arena Skövde water park, Skara Sommarland, Göta Canal, Karlsborg fortress, Läckö castle, Billingen nature area, Varnhem church and monastery, Hornborgasjön and many others.
