2. Visit Sweden's first cultural center

Yes, you read that right. In downtown Skövde, you will find Skövde Kulturhus, Sweden's very first. A fascinating brick building with cultural experiences, coffee, and food. You can spend many hours here.

3. Have dinner among cherry blossoms

The nature reserve Lycke-Lilla höjen is unbeatable on an evening in late May when all the cherry trees are blooming. Bring your dinner and enjoy the wide view at sunset.

4. Be first on the cross-country ski trail

Snow-laden fir trees surround the ski trail with a magical feeling, the snow glistens over the freshly groomed tracks, the silence is almost tangible, and the only sound is your own breathing. Enjoy the ride!

5. Dine with Good Class

Skövde has several good restaurants with cozy atmospheres and "I-have-to-eat-here-again" delicious food. One of these is Den lilla krogen, which is also mentioned in the White Guide. A dinner here rarely disappoints the taste buds.

6. Join a warming experience

Participate in an "Aufguss session" at Aqua Vitalis in Arena Skövde. It's an intense sauna session with fragrant essential oils diluted in water, poured onto the sauna stove to create a delightful aroma throughout the session. The scents can be uplifting, calming, or enhancing concentration, among others.

7. Hike the entire Billinge trail

The 57 km long Billinge trail offers amazing views through a varied and beautiful landscape. It passes both small and large historical sights and offers several of nature's wonders.

8. Watch the elite play

Be there when one of Skövde's elite teams plays at home. Experience the excitement and pulse together with Skövde supporters at the home arenas.

9. Cold swim in winter

Cold winter water, deep breaths, and a feeling of joy spreading through your body afterward. Skövde has several small lakes suitable for a winter dip. Do you dare? Ready, set go!

10. Enjoy a summer evening in the courtyard

Wednesday evenings in summery Skövde mean coziness in the courtyard of the Rosa house. As soon as you step between the pink-painted plaster facades and its white gates, a pleasant feeling of comfort sets in. The evening is filled with live music on stage, art exhibitions in the surrounding charming houses, and dinner under the open sky.

11. Grill at sunrise

Watch the sun rise over Skövde at Ryd's caves with the magnificent diabase pillars. Bring fire wood and cook your breakfast over a crackling fire. The panoramic view over Skövde is unbeatable.

12. Take a city walk and enjoy the town

Download the Skövde Street Museum app and follow the tour "Skövde Past and Present." Do you recognize the old environments? Then check out the shops in town and end with a coffee at one of Skövde's cafés.

13. Experience the joy of food at the food festival

Make sure to be in Skövde the last weekend in August. You probably don't want to miss the biggest and most hungry event of the year – the food festival! Here you can enjoy lots of good food, great company, lots of good music, and happy food festival visitors.

14. Climb a little higher

Challenge yourself in the high-ropes course among the treetops of Billingen. Here you can climb both high and low. Do you dare to go up to a height of 18 meters?

15. Travel back in time

See the impressive ship setting in Askeberga outside Tidan and visit King Rane's mound from the late Iron Age in the village of Flistad. Then continue to Tidan and look at Sweden's only known existing bridge house. At Vallby Sörgården nearby, you can experience life on a farm in the 1800s.

16. Level up a rainy day

Turn a dull and rainy day into something fun! At Stellas lekland, Jumpyard, Balthazar, and Arena Skövde adventure swimhall, every day becomes fun, bouncy, tricky, and ingenious.
