The Jälmå Trail
The Jälmå River Trail is a 35 km long hiking trail through beautiful countryside. With 13 bridges over the river, it’s easy to shorten the distance and create your own round trip. There are several interesting sights along the trail such as a Viking grave field, and industrial ruins from the 19th century. The trail passes some lovely bathing areas, and meadows filled with grazing animals. You can also combine your walk with a paddling expedition on the Jälm river.
Start and end points
A hike along the Jälmån takes you past Dalstorpssjön and Nittorpssjön, with trails that loop around both lakes. The best place to park is by one of the bridges that crosses the stream or in the villages of Nittorp or Dalstorp. Jälmåleden is located in Tranemo Municipality.
