Stay at Håverud's hotel located by Lake Upperudshöljen. Just a few meters from the hotel you can take the canoe into a smaller river and reach a larger pond with water lilies and beaver huts. Down towards Upperud there is the opportunity to stop and have a coffee and just enjoy. They will provide with a "to go" lunch and make sure a nice dinner waits for you when you get back in the evning.
Silverlake

Silverlake is one of the biggest when it comes to canoes and kayaks in Dalsland. They also have a nice hostel in the center og Bengtsfors called Hemgården. Prefect if you rather want to sleep in a comfortable than in the woods on your canoe trips. Combine your canoe trips with hiking or pedal away on a trolley on the railway track between Bengtsfors and Årjäng.
Alcatraz

In the old mill in Gustavsfors you will find Alcatraz, the activity center for those who like to enjoy the nature on bike, kayak or on foot. They also have a small restaurant. Stay at the hostel or rent an apartment. Gustavsfors is a small village deep in the woods and close to the Dalsland canal. Rent you equipment or brin your own.
