Tour Suggestion – Mullsjön Loop

Pedal your way around the small lake Mullsjön, situated west of Hjo. Along the Mullsjön Loop there are plenty of opportunities to make stops for swimming and sightseeing

DIFFICULTY: Easy – a very gentle cycling tour with few hills
TERRAIN: The route starts on smaller roads and cycle paths, then follows a paved country road for a few kilometres, and the final 5 km is a paved cycle path.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE/EXTENSIONS
Alternative – Mofalla Loop (+11 km)
If you’re feeling energetic and want a longer ride, consider cycling around Mofalla. You’ll ride on small gravel roads through woodland and agricultural landscapes. At Mofalla Church you can rest weary legs before returning on the paved country road back towards Mullsjön. Directions to this extension are shown on the digital map.

Think about:
- Always take great care when using fire. Use designated fire pits only and make sure the fire is fully extinguished. Fire bans always apply in nature reserves and may also be in force across the entire region during dry periods.
- Do not litter. Use the rubbish bins provided along the trail.
- Off-road driving is prohibited in nature and on marked trails.
- Show consideration for local residents and stay on the trail.
- Avoid hiking during the moose hunting season.
- Do not walk across fields with growing crops.
- Fishing is only permitted with a valid fishing permit or the landowner’s consent.
WHAT TO PACK

Clothing: Check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. It often gets warmer once you start cycling, but you can cool down quickly when you stop.

Food & Drink: Bring enough water and snacks, depending on how many and how long you plan to stop along the way.

The route is not waymarked on the ground, so we recommend using the printable PDF map or the digital map to navigate.
Start and end:
Begin and end your ride at the car park behind Kulturkvarteret Pedagogien, where there is free long-stay parking available.

- By Bus: You can take a bus to Hjo (lines 402 and 405).
- By Car: Hjo is approximately 40 minutes north of Jönköping, 30 minutes east of Skövde and just under 2 hours south of Örebro
