Observation towers and picnic areas make it easy to experience nature up close with both binoculars and a thermos of coffee.

Kinnekulle - The mountain by lake Vänern

Northn of Lidköping lies Kinnekulle, often referred as "the flowering mountain". Here you’ll find hiking trails with stunning views over Lake Vänern, such as the 48 km Kinnekulle Trail, which winds through ravines, limestone cliffs, meadows, and forests. Kinnekulle is also a geologically fascinating area, with unique rock formations and traces from ancient times.
