Bus lines

In Strömstad, several local bus lines provide convenient access to nearby attractions, including:

  • Line 111 – Blomsholm, Svinesund, Halden

  • Line 891 – Tjärnö Aquarium

  • Lines 870 & 891 – Daftöland

Free summer parking bus 

From mid-June to mid-August, a free shuttle bus runs daily between major parking areas and the town center (Strömstad Station and Torget).
The northern loop also stops at Strömstad Spa & Resort and the scenic Nötholmen nature reserve, known for its inviting swimming areas.

Koster ferry

Ferry line 899 connects Strömstad with the Koster Islands, and also makes stops at Öddö and Styrsö, with onward connections to Ramsö via Koster.

Cable ferry - Bojan

The cable ferry Bojan operates between Canning and Kebal, crossing Bojarkilen, offering a unique way to explore the coastal area.
To use the ferry, you’ll need a cable ferry card, available for 50 SEK at the following locations:

  • Strömstad Badanstalt
  • Infocenter
  • Strömstad Spa
  • Municipal Center (Town Hall)
