Kaffedoppet Café & Bakery
Strömstad

Nice café with long traditions

Enjoy a traditional Swedish fika with freshly baked treats, harbour views and a taste of Strömstad’s history.

Kaffedoppet is a cosy café and bakery overlooking Strömstad’s guest harbour. Stop by for coffee, pastries, bread, sandwiches, a light lunch or breakfast buffet. It is open throughout the year and located close to the train and bus station.

Kaffedoppet was founded in 1936 by Anna Schiöler, mother of the renowned Swedish artist Inge Schiöler. Anna began baking bread at home to support her family, and its popularity soon led her to open her own bakery. The café remained in the Schiöler family until 1971 and is still a popular meeting place for locals and visitors.

Welcome in for a Swedish fika and a small taste of Strömstad’s history!
