Kosterhavets Ekobod
Nordkoster
Kosterhavets Ekobod lies far up in Bohuslän on the island of Nordkoster and is Sweden's westernmost restaurant and cultural scene. The restaurant is based on the concept of sustainability, local produce and offers a cultural scene with exciting garden concerts, gallery previews, beach yoga and much more!
Sustainable menu and a living scene
Jump on a ferry from Strömstad to Nordkoster or arrive in your own boat and take a short walk to Kosterhavets Ekobod. Ulf Eriksson is the restaurateur who runs the establishment that is housed in his grandparents’, Åke and Anna’s, old archipelago house. He offers his guests taste experiences based on sustainable ingredients and a well-chosen range of drinks unique for the location. Food for the soul is also provided in the form of artistic performances in the garden.
From sea and nature to your plate
The restaurant has created a living menu with flavours that come from the Koster Sea and surrounding habitats, lovingly compiled in a sustainable and creative way. The menu varies from day to day and Ekobod serves classic dishes as well as new compositions. Enjoy soups, juniper-smoked Koster lamb, seaweed waffles or prawns from the Koster Sea, complemented by high-quality natural wines, gin flavoured with locally-produced juniper and lilac-blossom cordial.
Book a romantic dinner in the archipelago, a big family gathering, christening, wedding, party with friends - or any other good reason to celebrate. Catering is also offered for large and small events.
Sweden's westernmost cultural scene
Ekoboden also arranges garden concerts, exhibitions and inspiring lectures about sustainable communities. Musical arrangements with pop, ballads, funk and classical accompany previews of exhibitions, book releases and theme nights. Check out the full programme HERE!
