Within walking distance from the town center is Strömsdalen. The park is located in a beautiful valley and well worth a visit. Best time to visit the park is during the flowering period from April to July and autumn months when the trees are dressed in beautiful autumn colors. 

The park, which has recently undergone a restoration, in the nature of recreation area / nature park "woodland" with thousands of woody plants from around the world. You will also find a stand of mature maples, alders and birch trees planted in the 1800s.

Along the nature trail grows hundreds of azaleas, rhododendron species and hybrids, magnolias in different colors and exotic trees. 

In the eastern part of the park lies the open air museum Fiskartorpet. During the summer period  coffee and waffles are served at the museum.
