Arena Vänersborg and Sportcentrum
Vänersborg
Arena Vänersborg is an indoor hall where the prime activity is bandy, but the arena can also be used for other ice sports and larger events and fairs. The arena is located in Vänersborg's Sports Centre with, among others, sports halls, an ice rink, football and rugby fields as well as a cafeteria. Bus parking is available close by.
Arena Vänersborg
On September 24, 2009 Arena Vänersborg was inaugurated. The prime activity in the arena is bandy, but it can also be used for other ice sports such as sled hockey, ice hockey, figure skating, curling and public ice-skating.
With its special floor, Arena Vänersborg can be transformed into a venue perfect for handball, floorball, dance, etc. A mobile artificial turf makes it possible to make Arena Vänersborg into an indoor arena for football and rugby. In total, the arena consists of 8000 m2 of floor space.
Arena Vänersborg is also designed to be an arena for disability sports.
Fairs, concerts, markets, exhibitions and other activities are arranged here throughout the year.
Brätte Ice Rink
Opposite Arena Vänersborg is Brätte Ice Rink, a facility for ice hockey, figure skating, and public skating. In total, there are standing and seating places for 1300 people. There is also a cafeteria.
Sport Centre
In the Sports Centre there are two specially equipped gymnasiums. The halls can be rented out to training camps and there is the possibility of overnight accommodation.
The High School Hall
The High School Hall is a 40x20 m hall with a folding wall and stands for 200 people. The hall can be used for handball, floorball, badminton, football, basketball, volleyball, exhibitions and other events. Upstairs, table tennis and archery are practiced. The hall is disability friendly.
Sports hall “A”
A flexible sports hall where you can organize major sporting events, concerts and fairs for about 500 seated people. The hall can accommodate 2100 people, with cinema-style seating - 1500. Equipped for handball, floorball, five badminton courts, volleyball courts both for competition and training. Handicap entrance through elevator in the foyer.
Two sports halls “B”, 10x20 m
These halls are perfect for basketball, volleyball, badminton or floorball. Floorball goals are available.
The tennis hall
Four indoor tennis courts with stands and cafeteria. There are also three outdoor clay courts. The hall is also excellent for exhibitions and fairs.
Sport venue Vänersvallen
There are two artificial grass pitches that are illuminated, one of which is heated. Here you have the opportunity to play football and rugby all year round. An attractive arena, not just for the local teams. Two more rugby pitches are very close by.
