Nord Långö
Located in the scenic archipelago just northwest of Strömstad, Nord Långö is a popular summer destination known for its natural beauty and Alaska, the stone garden created by Hilma Svedal in the early 20th century.
With a well-maintained network of trails, it's easy to explore the island’s stunning viewpoints and peaceful beaches - especially along the western and northern shores, which are home to some of the island’s most beloved bathing spots.
Interesting flora
Nord Långö boasts a diverse and fascinating plant life. Along the beaches, you'll find species such as Mertensia maritima, Lathyrus japonicus, and Russian thistle. The meadows are home to Lathyrus sylvestris, cowslip, marjoram, orchids, privet, and cotoneaster. In the northern part of the island, you can also spot yew trees.
Getting Here
During the summer season, you can reach Nord Långö by boat from Strömstad. Visitors with their own boats are also welcome.
