The island Nord Långö is located in the archipelago northwest of Strömstad town. 

The island is a lively summer visited recreational area. A well-developed system of trails make it easy to reach view points and beaches. On the western and northern side of the island's most baths.

Interesting flora

The island has an interesting flora. Mertensia maritima, Lathyrus japonicus and Russian thistle grows on beaches. On the meadows include Lathyrus sylvestris, cowslip, marjoram, orchid, privet and cotoneaster. In the northern part of the island are yew.

Getting here: During summer you can travel by boat from Strömstad to Nord Långön. You can also get here by own boat. Selin Charter>>

Regulation

You are welcome to visit the nature reserve Northern Långön but keep in mind that it is not permitted to:

  • bring unleashed dogs,
  • make fire other than in designated areas
  • tent or camping
  • in a way that disturbs radio, speakers, musical instruments or the like.
