Hulared church
Hulared
They partly reused the old walls from the medieval church
Where Hulared's church is standing today, there was previously a medieval church, which burned down in 1906. When the church buildings association was formed 10 years later, the current Hulared church was rebuilt.
History
The architect behind the drawings was named B A Pettersson, and he saw that some of the old walls from the medieval church could be reused. The builder, Gustav Persson, from Åkerhult, was 80 years old and was also involved in leading the work of rebuilding the church.
Three renovations have been carried out since 1936, in which they repainted the church with a lighter colour scheme, created more space, and widened the benches.
