How do I get to Tivedens National Park?

If you go from Karlsborg you follow route 49 to Askersund and after 15 km you follow the signs and turn left. After that it’s just a 10 minute drive through the woods and then you reach the main entrance of Tivedens National Park. There you can find maps and also guides to help you find a perfect trail for your visit!

What can I see at the Fortress of Karlsborg?

The Fortress is over 200 years old. Here you can discover some old Swedish Military History in the museum of the Fortress. You can also go behind the closed gates and follow a guide for an exciting tour with special effects and a lot of interesting facts about the fortress. And there is more! What can I do in Forsvik?

In Forsvik you can find the oldest lock of Göta Canal that was built for transportation purposes during 1810 – 1820 by hand. You can also discover Forsviks Bruk which is a thriving works museum. The entrance is for free and around here you can also find Café Ada in the old miller’s house for a coffee break.
