The scenery along this pretty cycle tour shifts between open cultivated fields with different coloured crops, and dark green spruce forests providing an exciting feeling of wilderness. You’ll pass many lovely traditional red farmhouses with white trims along the way. On a sunny spring or summer’s day the surroundings are incredibly idyllic!

Make sure everyone can keep up

We have to be honest, there are some really challenging climbs along the route, but remember it’s always ok to walk if it gets too much. Just make sure to pack plenty of snacks and drinks to keep everyone’s mood up along the way. And take lots of short stops so you all get the chance to recover, after all, 26 kilometres is a good stretch to cover.

If you need emergency supplies of ice cream or drinks there’s a petrol station around the half way mark, just when you turn north by Tösse church.

Finish with a fika, naturally!

A successful bike ride deserves a worthy celebration, and what could be better than rounding it off with a tasty fika at Tollebol Mill’s summer café, where you can enjoy freshly made waffles, coffee, and other goodies. And don’t forget to say hello to the sheep and other animals on the mill farm.

In Åmål you can keep the fun going with a dip in Lake Vänern, a flea market tour, a walk around the old town centre and dinner in one of the town’s restaurants.
