A mecca for bargain hunters

Limmared used to be centred around a glass works, but several years ago it went through a major transformation. From a sleepy, quiet place it changed into a town bursting at the seams with places to meet and shops for people to browse. There are no less than 14 second-hand shops, antique shops and retro shops along the high street in Limmared, ready to capture the interest of bargain hunters and culture vultures.

Browse, buy and remember

These days, Limmared is a mecca for bargain hunters and retro freaks. You can find almost anything in the 14 shops that sell second-hand, antique and retro items, from old furniture and clocks to retro vases and clothing. The shops are often specialised in different areas or eras, from Torpdröm (“cottage dream”) to 50s, 60s and 70s retro.

Good food in two minutes’ walking distance

Limmared, situated in the southern part of West Sweden also offers a good choice of places to enjoy lunch. Glasets Hus or Limmareds Wärdshus are just two examples, both within two minutes’ walking distance.
