Welcome to the fishery conservation areas of Torpasjön and Yttre Åsunden. There are lots of opportunities here to fish for zander, perch, bream, pike, ruffe, burbot, roach, rudd, vendace, tench and eel.

Fishing permits and regulations
You can buy fishing permits at ifiske, where you’ll also find current prices and regulations. You can also buy a fishing permit from the card machine at Hofsnäs car park, where you’ll also find current prices and regulations.
More things to do in the area
The fishing waters are beautifully situated around the Torpanäset nature reserve, where you can walk along one of the hiking trails around the natural area, further information can be found here. Close to the fishing area is Torpa Stenhus, with its unique architecture and beautiful interiors, the castle is one of Sweden's best preserved manors from the 16th century. You can take a guided tour around the stone house, have some lunch, or take a coffee break in the castle cafe. A stone’s throw away, you’ll find Hofsnäs Herrgård, with its cafe and bistro. There’s a small farm shop here, Lilla Saluhallen, and you can go swimming if you fancy it. Both Torpa Stenhus and Hofsnäs Herrgård offer accommodation in this beautiful, natural environment.
Find your way here
Take Gånghestervägen from Borås in the direction of Dannike, after around 10 km take a right towards Dannike. Continue on until you see the sign for Torpa Stenhus.
National highway 27 from Tranemo towards Borås, after around 15 km take a right towards Länghem and Torpa Stenhus. Then follow the signs for Torpa Stenhus.
Fishing in Tranemo
There are 160 lakes in Tranemo of varying character and size, many of which are great for fishing. You can fish for both introduced game fish or the native stock. The beautiful surroundings will make you want to stay for a while, and also come back again some time. A lot of the fishery conservation areas sell permits online and you can always buy fishing permits from our tourist information office. You can find current prices and regulations at each fishery conservation area or by contacting your tourist office.
