Velanda Church
The Velanda Community Council traditionally organizes a Walpurgis celebration in the courtyard of Velanda Church. Come and welcome spring together with us — fire baskets will be lit, creating a warm atmosphere with singing and community spirit. Coffee will be served in the parish hall, with proceeds donated to ACT. The Scouts will participate.
Program:
17:30 – Gathering and socializing
18:30 – Fire baskets are lit! (Spring songs, speeches and sing-alongs — bring your voice!)
Location: Gravel area/parking lot at Velanda Church
Slätthult
Traditional celebration at Slätthult with music by the Equmenia Church brass band. Hot dogs, homemade pastries and lotteries will be available. Starts at 18:00.
Maria Alberts Park
Walpurgis celebration at Maria Alberts Park at 18:00 on Thursday, April 30, featuring the Trollhättan Male Choir. Guild Patron Thomas Eriksson will give the spring speech and award the Trollhätte Guild Singing Trophy.
Lextorp Church
18:30 – Bonfire, spring songs and spring speech by Marianne Ahlborg — professional boxer, lecturer, personal trainer and motivator. Children’s flea market and fun activities for kids.
19:00 – Coffee, sing-along and devotion indoors.
Munkeboviken, Lake Öresjö
Walpurgis celebration starting at 19:00. Food and refreshments available including grilled food, coffee, drinks and cakes. Quiz walk, lottery and fishing game for children. The bonfire is lit at 21:00.
Parking at Öresjö Outdoor Recreation Center or at the Munkebo or Öresjö bathing areas.
Väne-Åsaka Church
Musical devotion in the church at 20:00 with singing by the Gärdhem-Åsaka-Björke Choir and the Social Choir. The celebration continues outdoors at the fire baskets with a spring speech and singing.
