Victorian & Steampunk Picnic at Subkult 2026

Sweden’s alternative culture festival Subkultfestivalen is celebrating its 10th anniversary and has also moved back to Trollhättan. We are continuing the tradition of the cosy Victorian picnic and adding Steampunk to the theme, as this is the festival’s anniversary theme this year!

On Saturday 27 June, we welcome everyone who enjoys dressing up in theme-inspired outfits to join us for fika together in a beautiful park near the festival area. Just a few minutes’ walk from Subkult and Folkets Park lies the beautiful Villa Elfhög. The location is also central and close to hotels and the festival campsite.

Alternative styles with historical influences such as Victorian goth, steampunk, post-apocalyptic, and lolita are warmly encouraged, so take the opportunity to dress up in these styles — but there is no dress code and everyone is of course welcome! Free entry and all ages are welcome.

Bring something to eat and drink, and perhaps a blanket to sit on.
