Gaddis Trail
Vänersborg
A lovely walk where you pass the Gaddesanna beach area and then continue into the lush forest with varied terrain.
A hike along water and mountains!
Quick facts
Length: 6.5 km
Difficulty: Mixed terrain
Nearest parking: Gaddesanna parking (find on Google Maps)
The Gaddesanna Loop Trail is a longer hike where you walk partly along the water and partly through lush forest. Most of the trail is relatively easy terrain, but some sections include elevation changes and steeper parts. There are no prepared shelters or barbecue areas along this trail, but it is easy to sit down and rest in nature.
Along the way you will find beautiful viewpoints, botanical sights, and limestone quarries.
Starting from the Gaddesanna parking area, you can also take a swim in Lake Vänern after your hike – a refreshing dip in the summer or perhaps a winter swim.
You can also park and start the hike at Ekebacken or at the Hallsjörakan parking area.
