The Igelsjön Loop trail is a short route of only 0.7 km around the beautiful Lake Igelsjön. The trail runs over uneven ground but is easy to walk. On the northern side of the lake, there are shelters with barbecue areas—perfect for a cozy break with something to eat while enjoying the lake view. There is also an eco-toilet here.

Take the opportunity to try your luck fishing as well—Igelsjön is included in the Hunneberg fishing permit, and you can catch perch and pike here. Fishing permits are available at the Halle & Hunneberg Visitor Center and online at fiskekort.se.

If you arrive by car, the nearest parking area is Prästeklev parking, from where it is only about a 600-meter walk to Igelsjön.

The Ecopark, right of public access, wildlife and fire safety

Special rules apply within the Halle and Hunneberg Ecopark—an overview can be found here. Keep in mind that the area is rich in wildlife such as moose, beavers, and other animals. Also note that spring is nesting season for animals and birds, so please be considerate in nature.
