OK Skogsvargarna
Vargön
OK Skogsvargarna is an association that wants to contribute to active leisure time in forests and land. The association is active in orienteering, trail-running, cross-country skiing, mountain biking and other outdoor training for all ages. Competition opportunities for both members and the general public as well as popular quiz walks are some of the several events offered.
The club has its clubhouse and track centre at Bergagården, the park area on the mountain Hunneberg, where most activities take place. In connection with the premises, there are both exercise tracks and cycle paths. There are 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km exercise tracks as well as 2,5 km electric light track. There is also three mountain bike trails next to the premises.
Orienteering
OK Skogsvargarna conducts training and competition activities in orienteering for all ages. The club participates in competitions, mainly in western Sweden but also in other parts of the country. Beginners' courses are organized in the springtime for both young and adults.
Skiing
If there is enough snow during the winter season, OK Skogsvargarna organizes cross-country skiing training sessions focused on ski technique and the joy of skiing. If there is not enough snow, there are opportunities instead to train ski walking (pole walking uphill), as well as roller skiing and outdoor training. Everyone is welcome regardless of age or experience level, whether you are a beginner or more experienced.
Quiz walks
During spring and autumn, the club organizes popular quiz walks every Sunday between
10 am-1 pm. There are several trails with different lengths to choose from with flat terrain which provides good accessibility for most people - strollers, old legs, etc. Questions are available for both children and adults.
