Several rooms feature carefully curated second-hand items, including fashion, jewelry, and décor. Additionally, silversmith Åsa Biktor works on-site, creating elegant jewelry under the name “April.”

In short, Petit Paris is the perfect shop for anyone who wants to surround themselves with good design, curated second-hand treasures, unique silver jewelry, or perhaps create their own works. You’ll also find gifts for birthdays, baptisms, confirmations, moving out, graduation, weddings, and all those special occasions.

Why Petit Paris?

A brief history lesson: In 1834, the city of Vänersborg burned down. It was rebuilt with an important central feature called the “Plantaget”, designed as a firebreak inspired by Parisian boulevards to prevent future destruction. In 1922, Vänersborg-born creative Birger Sjöberg made the term “Little Paris” widely known in his ode to his hometown by Lake Vänern.

At Petit Paris, we offer products from designers and creators connected to Vänersborg and Västra Götaland. We focus on local design and aim to create a platform where creators can reach new audiences and customers can discover timeless design – in both form and quality.

With years of experience in second-hand and a keen interest in interior design, color, and form, we offer a handpicked selection of stylish second-hand items in fashion, jewelry, home décor, and furniture – all chosen with attention to detail and a love for design. It’s sustainability in practice.

When buying new, you can buy locally. You get products designed to last, both in terms of design and quality of materials. They’re also often unique and less mass-produced. Imagine passing on a candleholder, vase, or frying pan to future generations – that’s sustainability too.

Shopping at Petit Paris also offers a serene and picturesque environment where time slows down. You can pause, enjoy a coffee, and take home beautiful design, either for yourself or as a gift. That, too, is sustainability.

Location

Petit Paris is located on A F Carlssons gata in part of the old shoe factory in Vänersborg. The street is marked by the old water tower, beautiful brick buildings, and charming wooden houses. A F Carlssons shoe factory closed in 1969. Since then, the premises have hosted, among other things, a furniture store run by the grandparents of one of Petit Paris’ owners. The shop is in one corner of the Trenova block, with Trenova Center – offering shopping, dining, entertainment, and parking – located in the opposite corner.
