The Charcoal Kiln on Hunneberg – A Craft with Deep Historical Roots

Building and lighting a charcoal kiln is an old craft that has been used in Sweden for hundreds of years to produce charcoal, especially for ironworks. The process requires knowledge, patience, and careful monitoring – and it creates a special atmosphere with the scent of wood, the slow smoke, and the warmth from the kiln.
Now you have the chance to experience it up close!

We light the kiln at 6:00 PM – The kiln is located on Hunneberg near Erdalen.
Starting at 5:00 PM, the Grästorp Major and Accordion Club will provide entertainment.

Coffee, “kolbullar” (charcoal cakes), and hot dogs will be available for purchase.
The charcoal produced is used as grilling charcoal – and will be available for purchase!

Bring your family and friends and enjoy the sense of community around the fire – just like in the old days.
