ÄggliKören
Trollhättan/Vänersborg
ÄggliKören is a mixed choir that was founded in 2004 at NÄL Hospital in Trollhättan. We are about 40 singers, most of whom come from Vänersborg and Trollhättan. The choir’s goal, which is also written into its statutes, is to create joy for both listeners and singers, and we often receive feedback indicating that we live up to this goal.
Our repertoire is very diverse. We sing ballads, pop, classical, jazz, folk music, gospel, and other music we enjoy.
Initially, all our performances took place at NÄL Hospital in the auditorium called Ägget, from which we also took our name. We still have our base at NÄL but now also welcome choir members with no connection to the hospital. For a long time, we have also performed concerts at many other locations across western Sweden.
We have chosen to keep our somewhat cryptic name because it has become a well-known brand among concert audiences in the region. The choir has been led by Paul Nordholm since its founding.
