Places to visit while exploring Hallesnipen:
Predikstolen
Predikstolen is located at the very end of Hallesnipen, a viewpoint with a magical view over Lake Vänern. From the nearest parking to the viewpoint, it’s about 1.5 km through mixed terrain, taking approximately 30–40 minutes to walk.
Lime Kilns and Stenpiren
Several old lime kilns remain on Hallesnipen, the largest and most spectacular marked on the map. These kilns were used historically to burn limestone and shale. You can also visit Stenpiren while here, which brings you close to Lake Vänern and the old harbor where boats once docked. Visiting both sites (including walking to and from the parking) takes about 1 hour.
Ovandalen
This area is especially popular when the wild garlic (ramslök) blooms at the end of May, creating a sea of fragrant green. Ovandalen is also perfect for a walk on rainy summer days, as the dense tree canopy protects you from the rain.
