Ruckel Brewing (formerly Strömmarns) craft beer is brewed in a renovated power station located by the Trollhättan Falls, with Olidan Power Station as its closest neighbor. The brewery was established in 2019, and since the beginning we have brewed beer that we — and our honorary guest, the Water Spirit Strömkarlen — truly love. Ruckel Brewing is an independent brewery, proud to brew and bottle beer using classic traditional methods combined with modern equipment.
Ruckel Brewing moved into the old power station in 2019, when the restoration of the building began and preparations were made to transform it into Trollhättan’s local brewery. The building had long stood abandoned and in poor condition, truly needing new life — which it found through its new soul as a brewery.
The first beer was brewed in spring 2020. Since then, production has reached approximately 3,000–4,000 liters per month, with a total brewery capacity of around 10,000 liters per month.

Our beer is available at several restaurants in Trollhättan and Vänersborg, as well as at all Systembolaget stores in the Trestad area and surrounding region.
Book a Visit
It is also possible to book tastings with guided tours for groups of approximately 10–20 people. Keep an eye on our social media channels where we announce open days when visitors are welcome to explore the brewery and sample our beer.
