Local Heritage Association Vassända Naglum
Båberg
The Local Heritage Association Vassända Naglum was formed in 1983 and has its main activity in the Solliden cottage in Vassända Naglum parish. The association currently has more than 350 members.
The Vassända Naglum association was formed in 1983 by local stakeholders and has its activities mainly in the Solliden cottage that was handed over to the Älvsborg County Museum after the legacy of the last owner, Gustav Johansson.
In 1985, all the buildings on the site became a built heritage. In 1990, the cottage maintenance agreement was signed between Älvsborg County Museum (today Västarvet) and the Local Heritage Association Vassända Naglum.
The Vassända Naglum association can use the cottage as its local estate, in return for its servicing and maintaining in collaboration with Västarvet.
The main activity of the association takes place in summer half year, when people gather for various events such as markets, musical entertainments, lectures, family activities, bus trips etc.
During other parts of the year, various cultural lectures and trips as well as participating in the National Day festivities, Christmas party and Lucia celebration are arranged.
The association has successfully developed in terms of membership in recent years and today has more than 350 members who come mainly from Vassända Naglum, Grunnebo, Ryr and Ramnered as well as Vänersborg and Trollhättan.
The Local Heritage Association Vassända Naglum is also a part of Västergötland Local Heritage Association, which in its turn is a part of Sweden Local Heritage Association.
