About Fallens Dagar

Welcome to Fallens Dagar, Sweden's oldest city festival, held every year since 1959, beginning on the third Friday of July in Trollhättan.

Fallens Dagar is Sweden's longest-running city festival and has been a beloved summer tradition since its launch in 1959. Every year, the festival offers spectacular live music, fun activities for the whole family, a wide variety of performances and plenty of exciting competitions.

The Festival at the Trollhättan Falls

The festival takes its name from Trollhättan Falls, the city's most famous landmark. During the festival, you can witness the spectacular water releases, when water once again rushes through the otherwise dry riverbed at scheduled times. A variety of performances and activities also take place in the area surrounding the falls.

Renowned Artists from Near and Far

Over the years, Fallens Dagar has welcomed many acclaimed performers, from popular Swedish artists to internationally renowned musicians. Enjoy intimate concerts in cosy surroundings at the smaller stages or experience spectacular performances on the Main Stage in Folkets Park.

Market and Activities in the City Centre

The city centre is also buzzing with activity throughout the festival. A large market stretches along the pedestrian street and surrounding streets, featuring a wide selection of treats, clothing, toys, handicrafts and much more.

Kraftprovet and the Hansenplatsen Festival Area

Along Åkersbergsvägen, which connects Trollhättan's city centre with the Trollhättan Falls, you'll find festival tents hosted by local organisations and businesses showcasing their activities.

Hansenplatsen also serves as the starting point for the popular Kraftprovet race, held on the festival's opening day, Friday. The race takes participants through Trollhättan's beautiful falls and lock area.
