The starting point of the Edsvid Trail is just outside the hotel entrance and takes you through the Forngården area, home to several preserved buildings from the 18th century. The hike then continues along the blue artery of the Göta River, where you’ll discover a particularly beautiful part of Trollhättan—very close to the city center.

Along the trail, you’ll encounter two viewpoints with spectacular views over the area: Kopparklinten and Nyckelberget. From Kopparklinten, you can look out over the Älvrummet Nature Reserve, which features several scenic hiking trails. Farther west, in the blueberry forest, you’ll walk among moss and roots. Nearby are the old foundations of Krusetorp, a perfect spot for a rest. On your way back toward the hotel, you’ll pass through the picturesque Strömslund district with the old Slaskegatan street, offering an authentic glimpse of how the area looked in the past.

For those who prefer shorter walks, there are several trails taking 35–45 minutes, all starting from the hotel as well.

Back at the hotel, enjoy a three-course dinner after your refreshing hike. Then sleep well in one of the hotel’s cozy double rooms, and after a good night’s rest, enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet. A single-room supplement applies for single rooms, and one of the hotel’s suites can also be booked for an additional charge.

The hiking package includes:

• Loan of a backpack with packed lunch: sandwiches, something sweet, fruit, water, and coffee/tea
