A visit to Café Strandgatan is a must if you like homemade bread, freshly ground coffee, fresh salads, shrimp sandwiches or tasty hamburgers to enjoy with a cold beer.
Café Strandgatan is located right next to the waters of the Trollhättan Canal, here you can enjoy a good meal or just a cup of coffee while looking out over the canal and maybe see a ship or two passing by Trollhättan either on their way to Gothenburg or Lake Vänern. During summer you can sit outside just by the edge of the canal waters at the large outdoor seating area outside the café. Café Strandgatan offers both traditional Swedish "fika" with coffee and homemade pastries and also lunch and dinner food such as salads, hamburgers, pastas and pies.
The cafeteria is housed in a beautiful old building from 1867, which is Q-marked, from the building you have a fantastic view of the canal and the Spikön island on the other side.
Since opening hours are generous, Café Strandgatan serves as a natural meeting place for both locals and visitors who meet for a relaxing coffee, lunch, dinner or afterwork.
Practical information
Café Bistro for about 70 people on floor 1. On the upper floor there is a larger room that you can book for meetings, parties or other gatherings for about 100 people.
