Beautiful guest harbor located in Trollhättan's lock area

In the middle of Trollhättan's beautiful lock area lies Åkerssjö Guest Harbor, only 3 km from the city center. In the area you will find many different walking trails and tourist attractions.

The guest harbor Åkerssjö is located right next to the top locks in Trollhättan and offers 15 berths. Just next to the guest harbor you will find the café "Slusscaféet" with their popular shrimp sandwiches. A few hundred meters further away is the Canal Museum, the museum is open during summer.

Facilities:

The guest harbor offers access to electricity and water as well as shower / WC.

Explore Trollhättan

Leave the boat at Åkerssjö guest harbor and explore Trollhättan on foot or by bicycle. It is only 3 kilometers to the city center and can easily follow the canal all the way from the guest harbor to central Trollhättan. Along the way you can visit several of Trollhättan's famous tourist attractions.

Älvrummet - Just north of Trollhättan's lock area is the beautiful nature reserve Älvrummet with several hiking paths right by the waters of Göta river. You can also get up to the viewing platform on Kopparklinten hill for the best view in Trollhättan.

Innovatum District- About 1 kilometer from Åkerssjö along the Göta river is the popular Innovatum District in Trollhättan. Here you can visit attractions such as the Saab Car Museum, Innovatum Science Center and Trollhättan Art Gallery

Trollhättan's waterfall area - It is only a 2 kilometer walk to the waterfall area from the locks in Trollhättan. The waterfalls create a fascinating view when 300,000 liters of water pass per second. The water is only released at specific times during summer, read more here (due to the ongoing energy crisis there will be no release of water in the falls during the summer 2023 except from during the Fallens Dagar (Waterfall Days) festival 21-23 July). We recommend you to stand on the Oscar's Bridge for the best view.

Close by the waterfalls is the Olidan Power Station, built in 1910 it is still in use today. During the summer months, visitors can follow free guided tours daily. For an updated schedule, please visit this page.
