Walk of Fame
Trollhättan

More than half of all Swedish feature films have been produced with Trollhättan as their base. Located on Kungsgatan, the Walk of Fame honours many of the stars who have helped make Trollhättan Sweden's leading film city.

On 28 August 2004, Storgatan in Trollhättan was transformed into a scene of glamour and celebration as the Walk of Fame was officially inaugurated. At first, it featured 12 bronze stars set into the pavement. Today, the Walk of Fame has grown to include 19 stars.

The stars are selected by a jury. To earn a place on Trollhättan's Walk of Fame, a person must have made a significant contribution to film and also have a connection to the Trollhättan region.

This connection may be through films produced in the region or through another link, such as growing up or living in the area.

In the summer of 2025, when Kungsgatan was redeveloped, the Walk of Fame was relocated there. The street has since been transformed into a film-inspired destination, complete with a movie-themed playground.

David Hellenius
Comedian, actor and television host, born and raised in Viksjö, Stockholm.

Izabella Scorupco
Born in Poland, she moved to Sweden as a child. She made her breakthrough at the age of 17 with the film Nobody Loves Like We Do and has since enjoyed a successful career as an actress, model and pop singer.

Robert Gustafsson
Robert Gustafsson unveiled his star during the gala premiere of The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared in Trollhättan on 17 December 2013. Raised in Skövde, he began his career as a comedian at an early age.

Pernilla August
Born in 1958, Pernilla August graduated from the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her major breakthrough came in Ingmar Bergman's Fanny and Alexander (1982), where she played the nanny Maj. Since then, she has appeared in numerous acclaimed stage, television and film productions.

Lena Endre
Born in 1955, Lena Endre became a household name in Sweden through the TV drama Varuhuset in the late 1980s. She has since starred in numerous television series and films.

Rolf Lassgård
Born in Östersund in 1955, Rolf Lassgård developed an interest in amateur theatre while at school. He is well known for films such as The Hunters, The Man You Love, and for portraying Kurt Wallander in the film adaptations of Henning Mankell's novels.

Michael Nyqvist
Born in Stockholm in 1960, Michael Nyqvist became internationally recognised through films such as Together, As It Is in Heaven and the Millennium trilogy. He received a Guldbagge Award for Best Actor for The Guy in the Grave Next Door.

Kjell Bergqvist
Born in 1953, Kjell Bergqvist has enjoyed a long and varied acting career. In 2000 he received the Guldbagge Award for Best Actor for The Best Summer.

Claes Eriksson
Born in 1950 and raised in Trollhättan, Claes Eriksson co-founded the legendary comedy group Galenskaparna together with his brother Anders Eriksson and Kerstin Granlund. They later joined forces with After Shave, beginning a long and successful collaboration.

Mikael Persbrandt
Born in 1963, Mikael Persbrandt appeared at the Royal Dramatic Theatre as early as 1984 in Ingmar Bergman's King Lear. His major breakthrough came in the early 1990s and he has since become one of Sweden's best-known actors.

Samuel Fröler
Born in 1957 near Nybro, Samuel Fröler began working as an actor in 1985 and became well known through the TV series Three Loves.

Helena Bergström
Born in 1964, Helena Bergström began acting in television during the early 1980s. After graduating from the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts, she has enjoyed a successful career on stage and screen.

Fares Fares
Born in Lebanon in 1973, Fares Fares moved to Sweden in 1987. He had his breakthrough in his brother Josef Fares' debut film Jalla! Jalla! and has since appeared in numerous Swedish and international productions.

Marie Richardson
Born in 1959, Marie Richardson graduated from the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1985. She has appeared extensively in film and television and also acted alongside Tom Cruise in Stanley Kubrick's final film Eyes Wide Shut.

Lena Olin
Born in Stockholm in 1956, Lena Olin is the daughter of actor Stig Olin. She achieved international recognition through The Unbearable Lightness of Being and received an Emmy nomination for her role in the television series Alias.

Jacob Eklund
Jacob Eklund is closely associated with Trollhättan through his portrayal of police officer Johan Falk in Anders Nilsson's films.

Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman is one of the major international stars who came to Trollhättan to film. After starring opposite Tom Cruise in Days of Thunder in 1990, she went on to become one of Hollywood's leading actresses.

Stellan Skarsgård
Stellan Skarsgård is one of Sweden's most internationally acclaimed actors. His international breakthrough came with Lars von Trier's Breaking the Waves in 1996. He has also appeared in films such as Good Will Hunting and The Hunt for Red October.

Lauren Bacall
Lauren Bacall studied drama at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and was only 19 when she starred opposite Humphrey Bogart in To Have and Have Not. They fell in love during filming and married in 1945. She later achieved major success on both stage and screen, including starring in Applause and The Fan.
