The waterway to Innovatum

Innovatumrundan (Innovatum Walk) takes you on a trip from central Trollhättan's beautiful island Spikön and Strandgatan street along the Trollhätte canal all the way down to the old industrial buildings in a modern touch at the Innovatum District. You follow the blue vein all the way and enjoy the calm water, beautiful nature and maybe one or two boats on its journey north towards Lake Vänern or south towards Gothenburg.

Along the road or in close proximity to the walk, there are several of Trollhättan's popular attractions to visit, such as Trollhättan Waterfalls, Olidan power station, Skrotnisse's and Vattenkraften's playgrounds and Kungsgrottan (Kings cave).

Experience the Innovatum District

Once you have arrived at the Innovatum District, we recommend that you take a short break and discover the area more. There are many places to visit and also restaurants and cafés where you can replenish your energy. Discover Trollhättan's car history at the  Saab Car Museum or experiment and have fun inside the Innovatum Science Center. Here is also the city's art gallery and the summer open smithy. For the hungry, there is, for example, Nova Mat och Möten, which has both a lunch restaurant on weekdays and a bakery with bread and pastries. From the Innovatum District you can cross the Dutch bridge to the other side of the canal.

After your visit to the Innovatum District, follow the Trollhätte canal north again until you are back in central Trollhättan.

Trollhättan's Canal Walks
