For the fourth year running, it’s time for "Folk på Vänna" – the music festival where the American South meets Dalsland.

On the farm, situated on a headland by Lake Västra Silen and surrounded by woodland, fields and water, a setting is created that is hard to find anywhere else. Something special happens here when music, place and people come together in such close proximity.

Ever since Folk på Vänna was founded, we’ve had a vision and a desire to bring together different expressions of American folk music – such as folk, country and bluegrass – in the same setting, and this year’s line-up reflects that very ambition, featuring, among others:

Environment, food and accommodation
Concerts are held both in the barn and outdoors; the bar is open and food is served from both food trucks and the kitchen – with vegetarian and vegan options as well as meat dishes. For those who wish to stay longer, there is festival camping with both tent pitches and a limited number of caravan pitches (first come, first served).

For those seeking more comfortable accommodation, we are partnering with Alcatraz Hostel in Gustavsfors, approximately 15 minutes from the festival site.
