Gothenburg Museum of Art
Gothenburg
You can see one of the best art collections in northern Europe at the Gothenburg Museum of Art. Works by masters such as Rembrandt, Picasso and Van Gogh share space with contemporary artists such as Charlotte Gyllenhammar, Klara Kristalova and Cajsa von Zeipel. Feel welcome to stroll through the rooms, from the Renaissance to the present, get to know your favourites even better or discover new interests.
Art from different centuries
Gothenburg Museum of Art has a truly top-class art collection, including works from the 15th century to the present day, mostly from Europe and the USA but naturally with a bias toward Nordic art. Take the time to enjoy the collection of Nordic art from the turn of the last century, Dutch and Flemish 17th century, Swedish 18th century, academic paintings from the 19th century, French impressionism and international modernism.
