Paddanbåtarna
Gothenburg
See Gothenburg, the capital of West Sweden, from the canal and the sea, passing under low bridges and out on the Göta Älv. The guide will explain about the old moat and other sights you pass along the way.
Classic tour of Gothenburg
Jump on board the Paddan sightseeing boats at Kungsportsplatsen in the city centre and go on a tour along the 17th century canals, out onto the open sea. During the trip you’ll pass by sights such as the Gothenburg Opera House, Feskekörkan, Läppstiftet, the old dock areas and the city parks. The tour takes you under many low bridges as the guide explains the history of the city and its present state, with anecdotes about important events that have shaped its development.
A tour on the river Säveån
Paddan also arranges guided boat tours on the river Säveån, which flows from Göta Älv to lake Säven between Borås and Vårgårda. The tour takes you back into the history of Lödöse, when King Gustav II Adolf founded Gothenburg. The boat passes many interesting quays, shipyards and buildings that have been very significant for Gothenburg as a city and Sweden as a country. During the interesting sightseeing tour you can also see the rich bird life and feel the special atmosphere of all the wooden boats moored along the banks of the river Säveån.
