Open garden and greenhouse café in Bertshult

Enjoy strolling around the large garden at Sammels in the tranquil countryside around Bertshult. Shop for plants or furniture and have a coffee and cake in the greenhouse café. The beehives are a popular attraction for visitors, as are the courses in handicraft offered here.

Flowerbeds, fruit cultivation and kitchen gardens

Sammels Lantgård in Berthult lies just outside Landvetter, only 25 minutes from Gothenburg.
It is run by the Samuelsson family, who welcome you to see what this farm from the 1850s has to offer. Stroll along the enchanting path of fragrance from lush flower beds to areas full of berries and fruit. Look over the plentiful vegetables in the greenhouse and enjoy a moment of contemplation filled with the smell of herbs in the Sammels kitchen garden. Flowerbeds and bushes are framed by rustic natural stones from the area and the farm cats love to follow along as you stroll among the fruit trees.

Home-baked cakes, carpentry, primeurs and beehives

As well as fruit and vegetables, you can also buy plants and even furniture from the farm’s carpentry workshop. Enjoy coffee and cakes in the greenhouse café while the hens and sheep give you that country feeling. On the menu are homemade bread rolls, pies made from various berries, Swedish biscuits and other goodies which you can enjoy in the café or out in the garden.

The beehives provide the shop with wonderful honey and the shelves are full of seasonal vegetables, fruit, juices, jam, beeswax products and marmalades. Book in advance if you would like a guided tour of the garden or try one of the courses that Sammels offer in different seasons.
