On Kållandsö in Lake Vänern's southern inner archipelago, you'll find Läckö Golf Club. The gently undulating 18-hole course is designed with respect for the scenic surroundings and offers enjoyable play for all types of golfers. Many of the holes take you into areas isolated from the rest of the course and other players, letting you play in peace and quiet.

Gothenburg Golf Club, Hovås
– Sweden's oldest golf club

Gothenburg Golf Club was founded as early as 1902, making it Sweden's oldest golf club. The course is located in Hovås, on the southern outskirts of Gothenburg, and is characterised as a short parkland and woodland course. The archipelago makes its presence felt along virtually the entire round, and certain spots – such as the 6th and 7th tee – boast magnificent views and a lovely seaside feel.

Lyckorna Golf Club

Bohuslän's second oldest course, Lyckorna Golf Club, offers a well-composed golf experience where no two holes are alike. The biggest highlight is the breathtaking panoramic view over the narrow stretch of sea between Orust and the mainland.
There are some ball-swallowing water hazards that demand deep concentration – but that can also be a real game-changer when you need it most.

On a scenic peninsula between lakes Mjörn and Sävelången, half an hour from Gothenburg, lies Öijared Resort with a history of nearly a thousand years. Three 18-hole courses plus an illuminated Multi Course featuring golf, football golf and disc golf make Öijared Sweden's largest golf facility.
The courses have distinct characters, alternating between parkland and woodland. The Old Course's undulating greens and strategically placed bunkers create challenging play, and on the Park Course you'll find the high point already at the first tee – positioned on the grass-covered roof of the architect-designed clubhouse.

Fjällbacka Golf Club

A round at Fjällbacka GK has everything that defines Bohuslän – water, wind, rocks and lush greenery. The course has a semi-seaside character and the greens are firm. The Anråse River runs alongside several holes, offering captivating views while demanding precision from the golfer.
The 16th hole is highly Instagram-worthy, with a crossing over the river and a beautiful stone wall, plus an approach shot between bunkers and cliffs.

The 18-hole course at Skövde Golf Club was built as recently as 2018 and blends modern strategy with British influences. The course rewards strategic play and you rarely benefit from taking on the hazards head-on. It sits in a beautiful setting where every hole is framed by attractive woodland.

– Sweden's westernmost golf course
Strömstad Golf Club boasts Sweden's westernmost golf course and is a great favourite, particularly among Norwegian golfers. The hilly parkland course is challenging despite its relatively short layout. The proximity to the sea is clearly felt, and rugged rock formations have been incorporated as a spectacular design feature.

The region's sharpest golf course winds its way around one of the small lakes of Dalsland – the land of a thousand lakes. Few courses in Sweden enjoy such a peaceful setting. Just 150 kilometres from Oslo, Forsbacka Golf Club outside Åmål is a delight for every nature-loving golfer.
The clubhouse is housed in a white manor building from the 18th century, with views over Forsbackasjön lake and several of the 18 holes.

Vara-Bjertorp GK is set in a magnificent castle environment in the heart of the Västgöta plains, with Bjertorp Castle as its nearest neighbour. The 18-hole course offers parkland and heathland golf with strategic undertones – alternative playing lines and decisive greens.
The Golf Restaurant is now also run by Bjertorp Castle. The restaurant is located in the beautiful clubhouse built in 1908, just three years before the Art Nouveau castle was completed and drew visitors from across the region.

At Ulricehamn Golf Club you play on an 18-hole course that is one of the highest-situated in southern Sweden, at a club with a proud heritage dating back to 1947. Golf with views, next door to the Lassalyckan outdoor recreation area and Hotell Lassalyckan. The course is an interesting and varied parkland and woodland layout in wonderful nature with breathtaking vistas – you can spot Falköping from the 12th tee and Borås from the 16th.

Just over ten kilometres from the classic sailing and bathing destination of Marstrand lies Gullbringa Golf & Country Club. Since its founding in 1967, the venue has grown into a classic golfing destination with a total of 27 well-maintained holes spread across three 9-hole courses.
One course has a parkland character, one is woodland, and the third is a mix of the two. The loops are combined in rotation to form an 18-hole round, offering varied play even for the returning visitor.
